Junkers G 38 - Revell 1/144Click on any picture to see it bigger. This is one of my current worktop models. Until now I've searched for info, and I've found that although just two planes where built there's quite difficult to ascertain how they looked like at a certain date. I'm pretty sure that the kit represents the second aircraft. And, as far as I'm aware, the kit is fairly accurate. The kit is good. I've just assembled the wings and fuselage. Upper and lower fuselage parts must be trimmed to keep it square. Thanks god no putty is needed. Filling pieces with corrugations it's a nightmare. What really struck me was that as soon as I'd glued the fuselage I discovered new info showing that cabin interior was painted in three colours. : red for non-smoking, blue smoking and light grey cockpit. brrrrr..... I've also modified the engines and tried to represent the cabin windows in Kristal Kleer (wich is a sort of white glue that dries really clear). It worked fine and so I can avoid mask the windows when painting. Modifications:
